A linear but intense chapter involving a lot of climbing and shooting within the fortress. Treasures are easy to miss if you're rushing through the firefight.
- Bronze Astrolabe: Shortly after the chapter begins, you'll climb a wall and drop into a small courtyard. Instead of immediately proceeding, check the alcove to the right.
- Persian Ceramic Vase: After the first interior gunfight, you'll exit onto a ledge overlooking a larger courtyard. Shimmy all the way to the left to find this treasure at the end.
- Persian Sword: In the large courtyard battle, focus on the left side. There's a small, ruined room with a broken archway. The treasure is inside on the ground.
- Persian Belt Buckle: After lowering the drawbridge and crossing, you'll enter a final courtyard. Before climbing the stairs to the tower, check the right-hand side for a small niche with this treasure.
Chapter 9: The Rub' al Khali (1 Treasure)
This short but atmospheric chapter is a walking sequence focused on story. There is only one treasure to find, but it's a significant one.
- Strange Skull: As you wander the desert, hallucinating, you'll see a giant ship emerge from the sands. After the vision of Marlowe taunts you, walk towards the ship's stern (the back). The treasure will be partially buried in the sand near one of the ship's ribs.
Chapter 10: The Atlantis of the Sands (6 Treasures)
The payoff chapter, exploring the vast ruins of Ubar. Treasures here are spread out across the open ruins and inside palace chambers.
- Gold and Ruby Necklace: Shortly after entering the ruins, you'll climb a broken pillar. Instead of jumping straight to the next platform, drop down to the lower level on the right to find this in an alcove.
- Gold and Turquoise Ring: In the open area with the first waterfall, look for a crumbling archway near the water. The treasure is behind it.
- Silver Dagger: Inside the palace, in the first room with the large brass horse. Check the back left corner of the room.
- Gold Rosary: In the same room as the silver dagger, on a windowsill on the right-hand side as you enter.
- Gold Box: After solving the water wheel puzzle and ascending, you'll enter a hallway with a grate you can kick open. Do so, and before dropping down, look to the left to find this treasure on a ledge.
- Antique Brass Telescope: The final treasure of this section. In the large library room with the spiral staircase, it's on a table on the upper level before you exit onto the balcony.
